Happenings

Here's some things that have happened in the Hills life since my last post:
*Summer sales ended!
* I landed a job at Garden Day Spa and Salon and I love it
*We finally found a place to live and moved in
*We've been to Ikea at least 18 times in the last month
*Winnie the pooh and Tiger for Halloween
*Only me and 3 other girls out of 18 dressed up for Halloween at work
* San Diego...again. For Nat's b-day!
* Vegas for a night...go kart madness
* freezing our buns off in this winter cold
* Dance Central Game is changing my life....
seriously if you haven't heard or tried this game you need to...I'm pretty sure this is all my family is going to do from now on for entertainment...

MAGICAL!

DISNEYLAND!!
I can finally say that I've been to Disneyland! After 23 long years of nothing but sadness and regret...just kidding...but seriously. It was everything I hoped for and more. It really is the happiest place on earth! I saw a grown man with a shaved head tattoos and wife beater skipping like a school girl with his hands waving in the air. That's the kind of magic Disneyland has. And now for the pics...enjoy
The day was HOT and the park was packed but we weren't going to let it effect us. We walked up and down, side to side, every square inch of Disneyland.
Yes I was THIS excited!
Minnie was actually the first character I saw and thought it was more than appropriate to wait in line to get my picture taken with her...yes we made her curtsy with us:)
SPLASH MOUNTAIN was exactly what we needed so we went on it first....I liked it
I'm behind the man if your'e wondering...you probably aren't though....awkward
Sometimes people have compared me to WINNIE THE POOH...I'm not sure if I should be offended or not, but he was one of my favorites growing up so who cares!
We didn't actually go on the TEA CUPS because I thought I might be sick...gosh I'm getting old....but they sure were CUTE to look at!
I got soooooo excited to go to SMALL WORLD it looks so awesome from the outside!
But then we got inside and it was probably one of my top ten awkward moments in life. It was one of the LONGEST rides with one of the most ANNOYING songs playing the entire time! NOT my favorite.

TOON TOWN was like a dream come true...I felt like I was actually in the cartoons I used to watch as a kid.

She's supposed to be a personal trainer...ha

MICKEY!!! You wouldn't know it by looking at this picture but this actually was a strange situation. We had to go through his entire house then wait in a secluded line until they brought each group in one at a time to take pictures...I told Mickey I had waited my WHOLE LIFE to meet him and he just stood there....then Evan went to grab his ears and got in trouble and something like this was said, "Whoa! Sir! Do not put your hands on his ears! Or anywhere near there....so thats why we are standing like statues....weird

Of course Natalie had to make the JOLLY TROLLY into something seductive
attempt #14
attempt #15 GOT IT! If you could've been there you would know how truly funny this moment was. Why were toe touches ever a dance move??? HIDEOUS!
Yeah....that's my toe touch...so what

We all tried
really
really hard!
I'll be honest. It was not exactly what I thought it was going to be but it was pretty awesome. I felt like I needed a 4 year old to have an excuse to go but I'm pretty much a 4 year old at heart....and so is Evan and Natalie so it was perfect! I LOVE Disneyland and I will not wait another 23 YEARS to go again!

The First Year

I can't believe a year has come and gone! I've loved every minute of being married and I feel so blessed to have Nate as my husband. He's my best friend.
We took the day off! We left Brownsville and went to the beach. We got a couples massage, and we did nothing all day long...it was perfect!
This is the first day since April that we have had all to ourselves...long overdue
No that is not us but we did take this death shot for a ride...CRAZY!!
Nate has been looking for a new car...I found this one....It would work and all you have to do is plug it into the wall!
This is the pool that we spent about 4 hours at. There were so many comfy chairs and beds we tried them all. 4 hours later we were burnt and tired.

Jumping Things

I HATE THESE THINGS!!
reasons why:
*they're everywhere
*they jump randomly
*they can fly
*they are gross
*they make annoying chirps at night
*I have found at least five in my toilet....I can't get myself to go to the bathroom after I've seen it in there
*when they die they become crispy
*I always think one is on me
*I think they know I am afraid of them
*they seem to know when to jump to freak me out

Too Long

Yes I'm posting two new posts because I can. I feel like I never have time to update this thing so when I do it's like word vomit. I can't believe we have been here for two months. Isn't weird how time flies when your looking back. I'm not going to lie I'm dreading the next two. We are moving to Brownsville on Sunday and I just don't want to. Never in my life have I wanted to go back to Utah but right now I do. Texas is the hottest place on earth...I'm convinced. There are literally days that I dread walking outside for any reason. I feel like no one should be allowed to wear anything but a swimsuit here and trust me I find every excuse to do just that.
I'm nervous to find out where we are living. I'm nervous that I might be stabbed by an illegal immigrant. I'm nervous I'll die of dehydration because every step I take outside I lose 5 pounds of sweat. But mostly I'm nervous I'll go crazy from boredom. I did pretty good here in Corpus Christi. I found a personal training gym that I'm in love with and I feel like if I can find something like that to do I'll be okay. Anyways all I can do is stay positive but its hard to do when you are left alone everyday...I think I'll just have to come home sooner than later:)

SEA WORLD!

So it really has been a while since I went to Sea World but it was so cool there is no way I wasn't going to blog about it.
Even though it was blazing hot and you couldn't take two steps without sweating profusely I fell in love with Sea World!
We got to feed dolphins and I touched one for the first time...I think I could've been happy just standing in this spot the whole day. Dolphins a fascinating to me...yes I used the word fascinating.
Me and the wives drove up to San Antonio and spent the night. We saw the Alamo and in this pic we are on the river walk where you ride through the city on a little boat. If I hadn't known any better I thought we were in Italy.
This is my dream job!! We went and saw a show at the end of our long day in the sun...I was obsessed with this! It was a mini cirque show and I loved every minute of it...probably more than the kids we were with. I have never wanted to swim with whales and dolphins more in my life. I swear if I wouldn't have been stopped I would've climbed right into that tank.
Yeah that is a man being pushed around my this dolphin/whale.

Hello Houston!

We finally got a break from the everyday routine and went to Houston for the weekend to visit the fam. It was so nice to be away and relax and see these cute little boys.
We went to the pool for a good 5 minutes before the lifeguards blew their whistles. There was a storm coming and it started to thunder. I guess here they make everyone get out of the pool until 30 minutes after the last thunder. Bummer...
This is Hyrum and he is probably the only baby I know that makes me want kids...he is perfect in every way!
Payton and Levi have to be two of the funniest little boys I know. Levi has the biggest sweet tooth and kept asking me for candy and gum...and me having the same problem as Levi could not say no and kept giving him all the candy and gum I had in my purse. Payton is addicted to iphone games and can play them longer than any person I know. Sometimes his eyes will start to turn red from not blinking!
I can't wait to see them again!
